Full Description
This all day workshop will introduce user experience researchers to the basics of eye tracking and how to use the metrics obtained from the eye tracking to help drive design decisions.
In the morning session (10-12), attendees will learn an introduction to vision, perception, principles of eye tracking and an intro to UX applications.
In the afternoon session, (1-3), attendees will learn considerations in experimental design, how you can use eye tracking in conducting user experience research, eye tracking experimental design best practices, and how to use the metrics obtained from the eye tracking to help drive design decisions.
About the Presenter
Wilkey Wong joined Tobii Inc. in March as Training Manager, Analysis Solutions. He has BS and MS degrees in chemical engineering, materials science and upon graduation from the University of Connecticut, spent a dozen years in the plastics, adhesives, and coatings industries as engineer, group leader, and technical director. In this first career, Wilkey in specialized in product development, participated in establishing ISO 9001 and QS 9000 quality programs, and was awarded two U.S. and international patents. Most recently, he received his Masters in Education and is working on completing his doctorate in Educational Psychology at the University of Delaware.
Wilkey is a foodie and an avid reader of popular press science and philosophy topics. He listens extensively to all genres of jazz and is an artist, who at the age of 35 and a practicing engineer, was accepted to the waiting list at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. Along with his wife and two young daughters, Wilkey is happily exploring all that their new world in Virginia has to offer. Wilkey is super excited about working with his fellow Tobiians to make Tobii’s training resources the very best in the eye tracking industry.
